The information on our websites is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

Our website content may discuss legal topics, immigration processes, real estate transactions, notary services, commissioning services, government procedures, application pathways, timelines, examples, common issues, documents, risks or general legal concepts. This content is not intended to replace legal advice based on your individual circumstances.

Although we aim to keep our website content accurate and useful, legal information may change. Laws, regulations, policies, forms, programs, government instructions, processing practices, court decisions, tribunal decisions, professional requirements and real estate practices may change without notice.

MBLAW does not guarantee that any website content is complete, current, accurate or suitable for your specific situation.

Nothing on our websites should be treated as legal advice.

Legal advice depends on the specific facts, documents, deadlines, history, risks and objectives of each person or matter. A general explanation on our website may not apply to your situation, may apply differently, or may require additional analysis before any legal conclusion can be reached.

You should not make legal, immigration, real estate, financial, procedural or time-sensitive decisions based only on information found on our websites.

If you need advice about your own matter, you should book a consultation or speak directly with a qualified legal professional.

Your use of our websites does not create a lawyer-client relationship with MBLAW Professional Corporation, any lawyer, or any member of our team.

A lawyer-client relationship is created only when MBLAW has agreed to act for you. In most cases, this requires completion of engagement steps such as a conflict check, identity verification where required, confirmation of the scope of work, a signed retainer agreement and payment of required fees.

Submitting a website form, sending an email, booking a consultation, calling our office, sending documents, using a client portal, or communicating with MBLAW does not by itself mean that MBLAW has accepted your matter or agreed to represent you.

Until MBLAW has formally agreed to act for you in writing, you should not assume that we represent you, that your matter has been accepted, or that any deadline is being monitored by our office.

MBLAW does not guarantee any specific result, approval, decision, transaction outcome, immigration outcome, real estate outcome, legal result, timeline or processing speed.

Any information about legal services, immigration pathways, real estate transactions, notary services, commissioning services, previous matters, general scenarios, common outcomes or procedural steps is provided for general understanding only.

Government authorities, courts, tribunals, registries, lenders, title insurers, opposing parties, financial institutions, educational institutions, employers and other third parties make independent decisions that are outside MBLAW’s control.

Past results, examples, case discussions, educational materials or general descriptions do not guarantee the same or similar outcome in another matter.

Immigration information on our websites is general in nature. It may refer to temporary residence, permanent residence, work permits, study permits, visitor records, visitor visas, super visas, provincial nominee programs, Express Entry, humanitarian applications, status issues, inadmissibility concerns, procedural fairness, document preparation or other immigration-related topics.

Immigration law and policy may change frequently. Eligibility, strategy, risks and supporting documents depend on each person’s facts, including immigration history, family composition, education, employment, finances, country of residence, previous refusals, status in Canada, medical or criminal history, admissibility issues, deadlines and available evidence.

You should not submit an immigration application, respond to a government request, make a disclosure, ignore a deadline, travel, withdraw an application, change status, or make a legal decision based only on information found on our websites.

Real estate information on our websites is general in nature. It may refer to purchase transactions, sale transactions, refinancing, title transfers, agreement review, closing processes, lender requirements, title searches, title insurance, land transfer tax, first-time home buyer issues, adjustments or other real estate-related topics.

Real estate matters are time-sensitive and document-specific. Rights, obligations, risks and next steps may depend on the agreement of purchase and sale, title, mortgage instructions, closing date, financing terms, title insurance requirements, condominium documents, family status, tax issues, lender conditions and the conduct of other parties.

You should not sign documents, waive conditions, ignore closing obligations, make transaction decisions, or rely on general website information instead of obtaining legal advice about your specific real estate matter.

Information about notary public services and commissioning services is general in nature.

Notarization, commissioning and document witnessing requirements may depend on the type of document, the jurisdiction where the document will be used, the identity of the signer, the receiving institution’s rules, language requirements, original document requirements and other formalities.

MBLAW does not guarantee that a notarized, commissioned or witnessed document will be accepted by a government authority, foreign institution, school, employer, bank, registry, consulate, embassy or other third party.

You are responsible for confirming the specific requirements of the institution or authority that will receive the document, unless MBLAW has expressly agreed in writing to assist with that issue.

Legal matters may involve strict deadlines. These may include immigration response deadlines, restoration deadlines, status expiry dates, appeal periods, limitation periods, court or tribunal deadlines, real estate closing dates, financing deadlines, document signing deadlines, government response deadlines and other time-sensitive obligations.

MBLAW is not responsible for monitoring, protecting or extending any deadline unless and until we have formally agreed to act for you in writing.

Website forms, general email addresses, social media accounts and client portal messages should not be used for emergencies or urgent deadlines unless MBLAW has specifically instructed you to use that method for your file.

If your matter is urgent, you should contact our office directly by telephone and seek legal advice immediately.

MBLAW takes confidentiality seriously and complies with professional obligations that apply to legal service providers in Ontario.

However, communications sent through general website forms, public internet channels, social media platforms or unencrypted email may not be secure. Please do not send urgent, highly sensitive or confidential information through a general website form unless we have specifically asked you to do so.

Sending information to MBLAW does not automatically make the communication solicitor-client privileged. Confidentiality and solicitor-client privilege are different legal concepts and may depend on the circumstances, the nature of the communication, and whether MBLAW has agreed to provide legal services.

If you are an existing client, please use the communication method provided for your file whenever possible.

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete and truthful information to MBLAW.

MBLAW may rely on information and documents provided by you or on your behalf. If information is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, withheld, delayed or changed, this may affect legal advice, service scope, timelines, fees, strategy, risk assessment, document preparation, application content, transaction steps, or our ability to continue acting for you.

You should not send unsolicited documents, sensitive records or detailed confidential information to MBLAW before we have confirmed how the information should be provided.

MBLAW is not required to review, assess, store, return or respond to unsolicited documents or information submitted through our websites, general email addresses, social media accounts or other general communication channels, unless we have agreed to do so.

If you provide personal information or documents about another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the authority or consent to provide that information, unless another legal basis applies.

Before accepting or continuing a matter, MBLAW may be required to complete client identification, client verification, source of funds inquiries, conflict checks, risk management reviews, or other professional compliance steps.

MBLAW may decline or discontinue services where required information is not provided, where a conflict exists, where professional obligations cannot be met, where instructions are unclear or improper, where continued representation is not appropriate, or where we are otherwise required or permitted to do so by law or professional rules.

Nothing on our websites should be understood as a promise that MBLAW will accept your matter, continue acting, or provide a particular service before required professional and administrative steps have been completed.

Our websites may contain links to third-party websites, including government websites, courts, tribunals, regulators, registries, payment processors, booking tools, maps, social media platforms, video platforms or other external resources.

These links are provided for convenience only. MBLAW does not control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, security, terms, policies or services.

A link to a third-party website does not mean that MBLAW endorses that website, its content, its services or its privacy practices.

MBLAW provides legal services in accordance with the laws and professional obligations that apply to legal service providers in Ontario, Canada.

The information on our websites is not intended to suggest that MBLAW is authorized to practise law in any jurisdiction outside Ontario or outside Canada. If your matter involves another jurisdiction, additional legal advice from a qualified professional in that jurisdiction may be required.

Any reference to practice areas, services or experience on our websites is intended to describe the nature of services offered by MBLAW. It should not be understood as a claim that any lawyer is a certified specialist unless expressly stated in accordance with the rules of the Law Society of Ontario.

We may update, modify, remove or replace website content at any time without notice.

MBLAW does not guarantee that our websites will always be available, error-free, secure or free from viruses, malware or other harmful components. You are responsible for using appropriate security measures when accessing websites, downloading materials or communicating online.
